The Elizabeth Alexander Spirit Award is given to celebrate the life of a member, who in her brief association with JLCU, touched so many with her passion for family, friendship, and making her community a better place to live. The award will be given to a JLCU member each year at the organization's annual meeting. A committee consisting of the immediate Past President, the Placement Committee Chair, and the Sustainer Representative will choose each year's honoree. A member may nominate, in writing, a fellow member based on the following criteria: - Dedicated work toward the JLCU mission
- Commitment to community service outside JLCU
- Willingness to step forward, whether behind the scenes or not, and get the job done when a need arises
- Unselfishly putting the needs of family, friends, and community before her own
- Consistently inspiring others with optimism and spirit
Member should be as specific as possible in their nomination. Nominations will be accepted anytime until April 21. |
